Re: Fan function
Is the fan button still lit while rotating the pan wheel?
In the old v5 versions, the fan button was a toggle switch by default so pressing it once set the fan function on and you had to press it again to switch it off. In the v7 versions, it's a momentary switch function so it you have to press and hold the fan button to activate the fan function while rotating the wheels. Releasing the fan button will switch off the fan function.

Re: Fan function
By default the fan button latches. In user settings there is a softkey that toggles between [Press and Hold Fan Enabled] and [Press and Hold Fan Disabled] (default).
When using latch mode it will turn off when changing attributes or changing fixture selection (including groups). This change was made to avoid the problem of accidentally leaving it on.
If you hold down fan you will get some more options. In particular there is a softkey that toggles between [Ignore Groups] (default), [Fan Group as Fixture] and [Fan within Groups].
If [Fan Group as Fixture] is selected, each group is treated as a single fixture. Therefore if you only had one group selected then all the fixtures would move together and it might look like it isn't working.
