Hi,
I used to work with Chamsys MagicQ but now I am also working my way into Titan 7.2 with a Titan Mobile desk and there are some things about macros I just don't get:
1. The manual says that the top 20 console buttons correspond to the first 20 buttons in the macro window. So if did not understand that completely wrong, I could put a cue/macro etc. on one of the console buttons and that should also turn up in the macro window and vice versa. But that just does not want to work
2. I would like to put some of the macros in the library on the executor buttons or on one of the buttons in the macro window, but can not figure out the right way to do it. I tried a simple copy operation but to no avail
Some help with this is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Ben

Re: Question about macros
1. It does? That doesn't sound right to me. They are treated separately.
2. I'm fairly sure you should be able to just select the macro in the show library and then select the destination handle (ie. button in macro window or executor button). I'm away from consoles at the moment but I will check later on.

Re: Question about macros
1. It's in Chapter 15.1 on page 215
"20 buttons are provided in which you can store frequently used button sequences. Any sequence of button presses can be stored in each of these buttons making those repetitive programming tasks a thing of the past. If you need more than 20, you can show a Macro window on the touch screen. The 20 console buttons are the same as the first 20 Macro touch buttons."
The last sentence made me believe that the console buttons correspond to the touch buttons...

Re: Question about macros
Weird. Well, it's wrong. Maybe it is a legacy thing.
Sorry, having checked I was wrong about how to reassign. You need to use move rather than copy for the macros.
Note that if you want to free up the executors that have factory workspace shortcuts set in them you just need to be in the view menu (press the Open Window button) and then use delete to remove.

Re: Question about macros
OK, thanks for the clarification. So there is no way in Titan to see what is assigned to the executor buttons?
Re: Question about macros
They will come up under Static Playbacks in the Show Library window or the first 10 can be shown in the HUD window. The section in the manual is based on the Tiger Touch and Pearl Expert where the 10 macro/executor buttons do correspond to the first 10 buttons in the Macros window. I have reported a bug about the fact that these buttons are referred to as Static Playbacks instead of Macros.
Re: Question about macros
Interesting. I'd never noticed the link before.
