Longman Pointy 200

Postby Centrestage » 27 Jul 2013, 14:36

Hi i have just tried to patch a fixture on my Tiger Touch but have not being able to locate the fixture and control it.
The fixture sits nice and quite until i patch it into the desk and then it runs randomly on ti's own.
I have tried patching with a phase inverted lead.
When patched as 15 dimmers it works ok!

Cheers

If it runs okay when patched as dimmers, then it might be an issue with the personality. However, I cannot find a manual or DMX chart for this fixture. Do you happen to have one?

What exactly do you mean with'runs on its own'? Does it move, or does it just output some colour? If only the latter, please try again with patching as dimmers. Now, move channel 12. Can you acchieve some similar 'auto moves' this way?

Hi i have used the personality editor get to, Attributes/+Control where i removed the reset and safe and it is now using raw dmx.
The fixture now works ok apart from i cannot do a fixture reset!
i have attached the dmx listing as supplied to me.

Sorry, no attachement.

Maybe you can send it via email?

Try editing the original factory personality and change the safe function of the control attribute to have start and end DMX 0. In other words setting control to safe would output zero (Currently the range is 0 - 244 meaning it will output 122).

15 Auto Reset 0-64No macro ,65-128Auto, 129-192Sound 200-255 3 seconds later reset

Just set the safe mode from 0 to 0 and the reset from 200 to 255 and all seems to be ok.

Should there be a auto mode thou?

Yes. Looks like there has been a revision since the personality was written, or the information was incomplete.

You need to add two more functions. Auto DMX 65-128 and Sound 129-192. Assuming these are non-variable set each to 'text only'. If they are variable set each to 'percentage 0dp' with range 0 - 100.
