Blending led colors on tiger touch
I recently upgraded from a classic pearl tiger to the tiger touch. I'm having trouble saving a cue so I can blend 2 or more colors of LEDs on a rgbw par. I was able to do it on my old console but for some reason it just cancels the other color when I raise the next fader. There has got to be an easy answer I am over looking
Re: Blending led colors on tiger touch
Currently Titan treats all channels as LTP except dimmer. To control the level of an LTP attribute by fader you can set it to mode 2 ([Edit Times]).
Re: Blending led colors on tiger touch
Mode 2 still overrides the other color, it just fades it out as you bring the next in. @50% they are both there but it seems there should be a better way to do this.
Re: Blending led colors on tiger touch
Make sure you only store individual attributes using record by channel mode. For example three mode 2 cues, which only contain Red 100%, Green 100% and Blue 100% respectively will allow you to mix by fader. However, if the three cues are R100 G0 B0, R0 G100 B 0 and R0 G0 B100 it will not work.

Ok, you're the best! I finally figured it out. Thanks!!
Re: Blending led colors on tiger touch
Hi,
i need some help with this.
Can you please expalain step to step how to create three memory for RGB led colors control ?
I have tried with Titan Mobile simulator but when I record a cue with only dimmer and red, set it to fare mode 2 (and 0 fade in time) the dimmer channel go from 0 to 100 % but the red channel , with dimmer at 0 is Always at random value.
In TM simulator (i will check online) when i put fader at 0 the colour channel (with memory recorder in mode 2) are not linear in channel grid . The speed I move the fader affect the value of colour channel (as show in channel grid).
I suppose this is some my wrong action .
Thanks a lot

When using fade by fader (mode 2) it will fade from whatever the current value is to the recorded value linearly proportional to fader level unless a different playback curve is set in playback options.
There are three things to consider here:
1) Only the individual attributes are recorded. This is achieved by ensuring only the required values are in the programmer and the cue is recorded by channel:
- Select fixtures
- Set red @ 100%
- Record/toggle to [Record by channel] on softkey A
- Select destination handle
2) Reset the origin so that it is fading from zero. This could be manually, from a palette or another playback:
- Select fixtures
- Set red @ 0%
- Clear
- ([Edit Times]) toggle to mode 2)
3) Ensure any associated dimmers are not included in the same cue as the mode 2 colour component. For example record a second playback with all the dimmers @ 100%, recorded by channel. This is very important. If you include them in the same fader as the colour component both the dimmer and the colour will be fading at the same time and the resulting output will not be linear. Where it is a virtual dimmer this non-linear behaviour should be visible on the relevant colour channel in the DMX output view.
