LCD inverter enable delay - Tiger Touch

Hello ppl!
Can someone , please , tell me exactly how a console that need the ECN-193 change will behave if its updated to v6.0 without doing the ECN-193?
For exemple, if i am out of time to do the ECN-193, and really need the console to be at v6.0+. doing just the software/bios/firmware updates , will it run fine? or something very bad can happens?
