Hi All
The SSD has failed in my Expert. Can any one tell me what the specifications need to be to replace it?

OCZ have a terrible reputation. The only SSD drives that I trust are Intel or Samsung. They are not the fastest drives, but they are plenty fast enough. Basically avoid drives that use a Sandforce controller. Actully even the new Intel drives have Sandforce rather than their own drivers for some reason, but they are seeming to reliable as they have their own version of firmware running.
You should not install any drive which has not been provided by Avolites. Please contact you local distributor for further advice on this matter. Fitting an incorrect SSD drive to the console could have serious implications to the stability of your console.
Please also do not attempt to setup any boot configuration that is not part of the normal setup for the console.
If you fit an incorrect hard drive then Avolites will refuse to support and service that console. You may be forced to purchase another hard drive which is the correct type.
This is important as we have had serious problems with people fitting incorrect hard drives in the console.

So, am I OK with the Intel 330 drives that I got locally (160Gb) or are they causing my new problem.
The console seemed to be working OK then a couple of hours into rehearsal for a show I got the blue screen of death, was able to restart and worked for a while, then the same thing and could not restart. Swapped to the backup HD and worked for a couple of hours then same pattern. CSL suggested that I possibly had a wrong setting in the BIOS but because of the recent Blizard in the north east of the US I have not been able to get back in to the building(hoping to get in tonight)to check it out.

Ok, so last night I ran the recovery USB Drive with full formate of the drive and followed the BIOS setting Procedure in the upgrade manual exactly.
Ran the console for about 4 hours and recorded about 17 cues with no problem including several saves and restarts at the end of the night.
Only time will tell now. Just hope it does not fail at a critical time.
