Linking BPM Masters

Postby c-j-y » 09 Mar 2021, 18:11

Hi all,

I'm looking for a way to link BPM masters together. E.g. I'd like BPM Master 1 is assigned to a BPM tap tempo executor, and BPM Master 2 takes its BPM from BPM Master 1, but is set to x2 speed. This way I can have certain playbacks playing at double the speed of the beat I'm tapping along to. Of course I could just set up 2 BPM taps, but would be cool to try this. I've created a 'BPM 2 Tap Tempo' macro, and added it to my BPM 1 Tap, but it doesn't work correctly.

Any ideas here?

Thank you,

Chris.

Would using one BPM master and setting the speed multiplier on the playbacks instead give you the result you are looking for?

Yes! That's a great shout. I also created BPM macros (120bpm through to 130bpm) which assign both BPM Master 1 & 2 to the same speed, and master 2 is set to x2 speed. Longer way around but same result. Thanks
