Macros in showfile on another desk

Postby htevents » 03 Aug 2021, 19:51

Hello all,

When programming a show on a pc or just any Titan desk and using custom macros in that show. When I save the showfile on a USB stick and load the show into another desk, will the macros also be present in the show on that desk or do I need to transfer any macros manualy?

Yes, the macros are stored in the showfile and transfer with it, without the need to copy the macros. This is true for recorded as well as for programmed macros. I just tried this - no problem at all.

I have the same question but the other way around:

When i save a showfile from a desk on a usb and load this into pc suite, i have all the macro's in the showfile.
But can i export these (custom)macro's to xml files again?

There is a function which can be used in a macro to export macros - see https://www.avolites.de/wiki/macros/example/exportmacro. Install this macro. Running it exports the macro with the usernumber 1 as XML to your usermacros location. You can then simply set other macros to this usernumber and export them...
