Titan Two midi tap tempo (bpm mastee) problem

Postby htevents » 28 Aug 2020, 11:21

Hello all,

I have problems to have the bpm tap tempo linked to a button on my midi controller. I can have the normal playback swap button linked to my midi controller, but when I make that as my bpm master, it does strange things. When I tap the button, it jumps to the highest bpm, it wont act as tapping the swop button.

Anyone can help me with that?

The tap tempo system works by looking at the timestamps on the incoming button presses, this normally is when the button press is read from the hardware so that it is as accurate as possible. Unfortunately (MIDI) trigger inputs do not have a timestamp with them so when it attempts to calculate the BPM the software is unable to do so. You might be able to work around this by creating a custom macro and triggering that instead.

There is a related suggestion on the Ideas and Features page, we look at these based on the number of votes they get so the more votes the better.
