USB MIDI with titan V12

Postby tymenabels2 » 05 Nov 2019, 14:41

Hi forum,

I have read all kind of things about the new feature released by Avolites titan software V12 to support a MIDI device.
Does the software on PC detects an USB midi controller? I would like to use my current USB MIDI device to have physical faders.

next to that I am considering purchase of a T1 usb since this has the avokey onboard.

Can you please advice what to do?

kind regards

Please note that USB MIDI is only supported on the T2 and above, the TitanOne and T1 are not supported. Connected USB MIDI devices should appear in USB Expert Console and any MIDI notes or commands can be handled in the same way as those connected via the physical connector on Avolites hardware e.g. as triggers.

Hi,

Thanks for the response.
Leaves me with some more questions (maybe stupid).

I use my laptop with (old) titan one very often to do some small shows in which it is not affordable to buy a titan mobile or something simular.
As I read in your answer, MIDI dongles will not be supported on Titan on PC Right? Even if a buy a new T1 dongle with AvoKey to support V12.

So if I want to have some physical faders working on my laptop without having to buy titan Mobile? what would be adviced if USB MIDI device is not in scope?
please correct / advice me here.

Thanks,
Tymen

The new T2 unit with two universe outputs supports USB MIDI. This will run on a computer in the same way as a T1.
