Titan One and Frequent Light Flicker

I am having trouble with a Titan one and some Chauvet Qwash 419Z lights.

They flicker (to black) for a few milliseconds every couple of minutes randomly.

I have tried enabling the Stop Bit, and changed the break length to loads of different values ranging from 200 up to 6000 and they still flicker.

Is there anything else I can try?

The Titan one does connect to a DMX Merge unit along with a "house light" wall controller, but I have tried taking this out of the equation in the past and it still flickered.

Not a solution I'm afraid but for what it's worth I've also experienced this using these fixtures. I haven't been able to try them with another DMX source to determine whether it's an intrinsic problem with the lights.

If you're using V12 you can reduce the system render rate which might help.

Not on v12 unfortunately.... will this be in the next 11.x update?

There were quite substantial changes made to the DMX output in v12.0 which changing the system render rate was part of; we would normally not include such major changes in a bug fix or stability release.

Ok, can you confirm if this system render rate will fix this issue?

If you can’t confirm this, if I was to test with a quartz running V12, will that confirm it’s for me? Or is the DMX output of a quartz different to that of Titan one?

Furthermore, will a T2 fix this issue running v12?

Unfortunately there are number of factors which may effect this so it would be difficult to say for sure. Have you tried terminating the DMX line? Does it still happen if you have a single fixture plugged directly into the TitanOne?

In terms of the software, rate and format of the DMX they should be the same although it is possible there may be slight differences in power levels between the two.

Again without knowing what the issue is, I cannot give a definitive answer.
