Blind Mode Trouble

Postby kimwida » 04 Jan 2018, 12:34

I was making a macro that change some color of a chase in blind mode.
But after some execute the macro, when I select some fixtures and choose a color palette, the fixtures go to black.
When I change dimmer channel of the fixtures, the capture shows the light.
The weird thing is other type fixtures do right.
I think there's something wrong when the macro execute and I tried to find out it.
But I couldn't.
Somebody helps me.
=================================================
I tried to patch other LED zoom head and blind test.
It works right.
And I tried the fixture in other PC and it doesn't work in blind mode.
The fixture is LED 1912W Zoom of ColorStage.
Maybe there's something wrong in the capture file of the fixture.

Hi,
i do this all the time and never realy have had any troubles with it.
Do you record the macro on the desk or write it your self.
I used to record it myself but now i have written a macro in notepad that works a lot faster and doesn't let the screen do strange things.
You can find the macro + explanation here:

Thanks for the sharing !!!
It's great and I can learn a lot from the site.
About my trouble, I think there's something wrong in the personality of LED 1912W Zoom of ColorStage.
Please somebody test it.

1. New Show.
2. Patch "ColorState" -> "LED 1912W Zoom"
3. Select the fixture, make 100% dimmer and record it to a cue.
4. Make a red color palette of the fixture.
5. Clear and fire the cue.
6. Go into blind mode,select the fixture and select the red palette.

It should be turn red in the capture and nothing in real fixture. (You don't need to test it in real thing.)
But it goes to black in the capture.
I wonder it just happen to me or others.

Unfortunately it seems there is a problem relating to virtual dimmers and blind mode in the internal Capture. In blind mode when a relevant colour mixing control enters the programmer it is no longer virtually mastered from the non-programmer state (ie. an active playback). This happens however you adjust the control (for example by palette or wheel). This issue appears to persist when you exit blind where the affected controls need to be nudged again before the virtual controller is applied. As far as I can see this only affects the internal Capture.
