Titan PC v10 needs adminstrator rights

Postby elpollodiablo » 12 Jun 2017, 11:01

I was looking for support on the Avolites website and this forum, so i hope I’m a the right place.

We have the following challenge. I’m working at a high school and managing our Windows clients on our high school with about 500 Windows 10 clients. Now one of the teachers asked for Avolites Titan V.10 and so we deployed this. But the problem is, our student users in our domain are standard users, without administrator rights. Now, when Avolites is installed, it comes with a popup from ALC offcourse that it needs administrator rights. Now, I’m looking for a way so that the student user can run the application. Can someone tell me, why Avolites needs admin rights to start? Does it write something to the registry or to a folder? If that’s the case, I can give permissions to that folder/registry folder.

Welcome to give me other ideas offcourse! :) Thanks in advance.

Please take a look at this thread. I think you emailed earlier, I forgot to mention the RunAsTool as an alternative.
