Major Upgrading Dongle Problems

Postby tubajoe85 » 22 May 2017, 22:33

So...we decided to upgrade our church's system (Avolites Titan One) from v9.1 to v10.1 today. We uninstalled v.9.1 from the PC, then downloaded and installed v.10.1. After the install, we loaded the software only for it to tell us "Dongle Not Found! Please ensure you have inserted an Avolites Titan Dongle and all panel firmware is up-to-date in USB Expert Console."

While visiting the "USB Expert Console," it appears that the panel is stuck in Boot Mode. Every button we push keeps producing the result that the panel "Entered boot mode." Thus we cannot get the panel to update its firmware because it will never allow us to push the "update" button.

So...we then uninstalled Version 10.1 and reinstalled 9.1 because we knew it worked previously. Except that it doesn't work anymore. It gives us the same problem. So now we have no software to work with and we cannot figure out how to fix our Dongle/Panel.

Uhhh...help! We have no idea what to do.

You may need to reprogram the TitanOne, to do this:
  1. Open USB Expert Console and if necessary start the Acw Service.
  2. Select the TitanOne panel on the left and then switch to the Service tab.
  3. Press the Program button and select the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Avolites\UsbExpert\Panel Software\titan_one.bin.
  4. Once it shows Status: Completed press the Exit Boot to return the panel to normal operation.
  5. Exit USB Expert Console and start the TitanOne software.
You can do this with either the v9.1 or v10.1 software installed.
