Windows 10 really necessary?

What will I be losing if I use Windows 7? I can get it cheap and don't want to pay extra for Windows 10

The minimum requirement for Titan is Windows 7 Service Pack 1, so to run it you will need to have the service pack installed. Microsoft mainstream support for Windows 7 stopped two years ago with extended support (providing you have the service pack) is finishing in less than three years. I find Windows 10 a nice and stable operating system to use and I'm glad I took advantage of the free upgrade from Windows 7 when it was available however I don't think I'd have paid extra for it.
