V10 using more ram?

Postby deepain » 04 Jul 2016, 20:46

I'm having a problem since updating. Titan is very slow. V9 was great. V10 is so slow. If I copy and paste a page of playbacks it takes almost a minute, it used to be instantaneous. There seems to be a delay with every button press.
Anyone else having a problem?

On a console you need 4Gb of RAM.
Please tell us in which Hardware you try to run v10.

I checked, My laptop is an i7 with 6 gig of ram. Everything else on the computer runs fine.

I did a complete wipe and reinstall of windows 10. reinstalled Titan V10 and It is still very slow. It froze up tonight, when I went into task manager to close the program I noticed it said Titan was 32 bit. Is that correct?

Am I really the only one having this problem?

Good morning,

I'm running Titan V10 now testwise on a Microsoft Surface (i5, 4Gb of Ram) and it is much slower than V9. I did not have to wait a minute until now, but when I switch pages or go into other views it takes a few seconds.

Deepain.
Laptops come these days in most of the cases with 2 graphics cards, 1 is the generic which is good for wordprocessing. the 2nd is normally the powerfull one.

What happens if you start Titan using the 2nd card?

How do you change to a different graphics card?

If it is about a nVidia card.
You can click your rightmouse button on the desktop and select nVidia Control-Panel.

In the nVidia control panel select the 2nd option (manage 3D settings).
then take the second tab (Program settings)
Select the Titan software from the dropdown menu or when it is not mentioned there, click on Add and browse to the Titan executable.
Then under option 2 select the Powerfl Videocard and not the integrated one.

click on the right bottom on Apply and Titan should now start using the powerful nVidia card.

I am not sure about the process for other Graphics cards, but I assume the process would not differ too much.
Look for the control panel for the powerful card and connect Titan to start using that card.

Looks like I have an Intel HD graphics card. I don't see an option to choose specific programs
