Hello ,
my name is joey and I am having a problem with some dimmer faders.
First of all this are my fixtures:
4 Jbsystems The Winner
4/6 Showtec Tri Led
2 Showtec Phantom 75W
Because the phantoms and tri leds are LED fixtures, I patched two faders so I can manually set the dimmer level for them.
Now I want to program some dimmer spread programs . When I push the chase or memory with the dimmer spread then the fixtures stay the same untill I release the manual dim faders.
So I need the chase or memory to overrule my dim faders, so that when I push the chase everhthing is off except the fixture I programmed with a dimmer.
I hope you guys can help me.
Thanks,
Joey

Re: Dimmer Fader Problem
Unfortunately I'm not sure there is any way to do this. Shapes apply a relative offset above and/or below the current control value. Dimmer is defined as HTP (highest takes precedence) and so the dimmer shape will operate around whatever level is highest.
The only way around this would be to modify the personality so that dimmer had a different attribute ID (attribute ID 'dimmer' is automatically HTP, anything else is LTP) and also create a custom shape that would function on the chosen attribute ID. The problem with this, other than having to mess around with personalities and shape files, is that it would mean your dimmer would no longer fade by fader and generally behave in a way you almost certainly wouldn't want.
