Hi all,
Since I've upgraded to V10 I'm having major lag on my encoder wheels. It doesn't matter if I'm adjusting intensity or p/t or effects. It is very difficult trying to make pos. Palletes. Even after adjusting the wheel acceleration same issue. I have my 2+ year laptop win 10 Lenovo for shop prep and small gigs. Also have 2 other clients with brand new computers with brand new t1 dongles experiencing the same issues. I'm about to roll back to 9.1. I never had lagging issues in that version. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

Re: Titan 1 encoder lag
I'm running an ACER of reasonable spec.
Encoders virtualy unusable.
I'm having to type values in from the keyboard.
Slowing programming down too much.
Am also considering rolling back, but some of the new V10 features so useful.

Re: Titan 1 encoder lag
Sticking with V 10 for all of the extra features.
If I'm doing a lot of programming I still get the problem so just re boot the PC and all back fast again. This machine is W 8
I have a lower spec back up machine running W 7 and that seems ok, perhaps because I don't do a lot of programming on it.
Happy Days.

Re: Titan 1 encoder lag
SSD or Old school spinny drives?
V10 requires an SSD if you do not have an SSD you will experience lag .

Re: Titan 1 encoder lag
Do you know if an external SSD would work acceptably?
Re: Titan 1 encoder lag
It is the system drive which is the important one for runtime performance, specifically fast access is required for the Windows temporary directory. It is possible to change the location of this in Windows, however this could lead to problems with the whole operating system if you try to use the computer without the external drive connected. The interface to the external drive would also have to support high data rates, something like eSATA would potentially work as it is effectively the same as the connections to internal drives.
