Titan One plugged into router?

Postby JTrinnaman » 25 May 2015, 00:16

I was trying to figure out if there was a way to plug in the T1 to a wifi router (the usb port commonly used for storage), and use it from a computer connected to the wifi network. I have seen this done with the Martin USB dongle, but I would love to just plug in a router at the side of the stage and connect a show with a windows tablet on that network. Any advice would be helpful! Thank you!

yes and no.........

I doubt you can connect titan to the USB port of the router that way. ( unless the router was somehow "hacked")

you could however either have titan on the computer and use thru wifi the iOS or Android remote on a phone or tablet. OR

You use titan on one computer backstage as the master and, and then install titan sim on the tablet and use it as an "advanced" remote. ( i do this with my titan Mobile and my dell venue 11 tablet) the tablet thru sim will act like a full install of titan.

Multiuser in titan is wickedly powerful

You can use any Titan software in a multi-user session including TitanOne. The main thing to be aware of is that the outputs are determined by the master console in the system, so if the master is TitanOne you will only be able to output one line or if the master was Titan Simulator you would get the random DMX spoiler periodically.
