Import Cue List to show

Postby AndyMcL74 » 12 Mar 2015, 12:17

I have two cue lists on different shows, and want to put them on the same one... is there anyway of importing a single cue list as opposed to loading the whole show?

Thanks

In the Disk menu there is an option to Import information from another show. After selecting the show it will ask you to map the fixtures in the show you are importing to those in your current show. Once you have done that you can select the cue lists you want and copy them into the current show, depending on how big the cue lists are this may take a little while. Once the cue lists have been imported you can copy the cues from one list into the other.

Hi Gregory, thanks for the reply.

I have tried to do that, however the cues only are imported - not the fixtures within them - each cue is 'empty'. e.g. in Show A Cue 1 says 'Dimmer 1, Ch1 to 100%', yet when imported Cue 1 says nothing, even though the same fixtures are there.

Is there an extra option to import DMX settings or whatever with the cue list?

Did you map the fixtures before importing?

No, because they remain the same... If I do map the fixtures to import, will it change the fixtures assigned in the existing cue list in that show?

You need to map even if they are the same. It won't change anything in the source show.

Okay, thanks - will give that a go.
