Clear function in Classic (R20)

I am having problems with the clear function when I save the personality as a .R20. When pressing clear, the dimmer attribute won't zero out. The fixture deselects, but intensity stays at the current level- outputting that value as well. When I save as a .d4 file, the clear works correctly. Am I missing something in the editor? I've even tried putting a "0" percentage as the clear level on the dimmer.
Thoughts?

The Clear value isn't used by .r20 files at all.
Is the dimmer behaving as HTP otherwise? Probably the easiest thing to do is paste the important bit of the file here and hopefully it will be obvious what's wrong.

Thanks. It is a 16bit dimmer so I changed the high to HTP and the low to 16bit fadable LTP.
Seemed to have fixed it so now I can press clear and see no more dimmer value on.

As Nic said, the clear flag used by personality builder is only for .D4 personality files. It 'does exactly what it says on the tin' in that every time Clear is pressed (in Titan or on a D4) the fixture will express any and all Clear values immediately. It is for this reason I tend not to use them at all when I create files for the cache.
In terms of Classic (.R20) personalities, pressing clear will set only HTP channels to DMX zero. In the case of 16 bit Dimmer channels, it is important to ensure that the High Byte is set to HTP as opposed to the Low Byte. (See correct example below):
DMX
1 1 H 18 100 1N H 1 "Dimmer" 255 0 0
0 0 s 19 100 1N H 1 "Dimmer Low" 255 0 0
