hi guys...
i wrote myself a python-module to control Modul8 (media server program) by a friend's tiger... so far, so good, works fine...

now i just wanted to program a pers-file from the builder, got the r20 exported, it appears on my stick, i insert the stick to the tiger, the stick gets read out, then the console tells me, there would be no shape. i press enter and it tells me "no fixture found"...

what am i doing wrong?!?

thanks in advance, best regards

I guess this could be categorised under personality creation, but isn't necessarily specific to Personality Builder as a program. I might get this thread moved if I can find somewhere more relevant for it...

In the meantime however, yes you're right - you needed to use Copy2008 in order to place your newly created .R20 file in the correct directory on your memory stick, so that the Tiger could find it.

To update and add new files to your Pearl 2008/2010/Tiger’s internal storage drive:
• Firstly download and extract the latest personality files to a memory stick
• Then download Copy2008, place it in the root directory of your memory stick
• Run Copy 2008
• Insert your memory stick into your console and turn the Key to System.
• Select USB Stick Options and then [Sync Fixtures]
• Select the internal USB drive (which is usually called ‘AVOCACH’) in order to copy personalities from your memory stick to the internal drive

Hope that helps!

would this SYNC FIXTURES procedure add a single new fixture in, or replace the entire library with the new fixture? I just need to add a new fixture into the onboard library.

Sync Fixtures will add single fixtures as opposed to replacing your entire internal library.
