Timeline "move early"

Postby rheibel85 » 23 Jan 2024, 22:41

is it possible to move fixtures 'early' in a timeline the same way you can in a cue list? musical needs a few spotlights during song to but using timeline they travel during playback rather than already being in the playback position. I suppose the workaround is to have both a cue list and timeline linked to the same time-code (winamp) so spots are done via cue list and blinders strobes etc.. are done via the timeline but want to check i am not missing something simple. Using Titan 16 on titan mobile desk.

If you are adding a cue to a timeline manually there is an option for Create Preload Trigger, this is shown in softkey D when pressing Record followed by the timeline handle or when using the + button in the Timeline window and selecting either the New Playback or Existing Playback options. It will remember its setting, so if using Record again or Copy/Move it will add a preload as well as the normal playback triggers. It is also possible to add a preload trigger separately using the + button within the Timeline window. If using Live Record it will record a preload trigger if you press a button with the preload key profile assigned to it but won't add one automatically if you just fire the playback.

It is possible to trigger a cue list from within the timeline and move the trigger points around for the various cues, only the timeline would need to be linked to the timecode source and you could have the same cue list appear at multiple points within the timeline.
