"Chase" within a cue list

Postby DBEP » 27 Dec 2023, 18:59

Hello,
Still settling into the Avo world and hoping for some advice.
I'm just setting up a show for a Theatre Show, so I'm looking to create a cue list which can be fired off the go button once programmed.

All fixtures are generics/dimmers, which makes things a little easier.
I'm looking for the best way to create a chase within a cue list, and advice on the way you would generally do this.

So far example some fixtures include the following (With coloured gel)
10 - Red
11 - Green
12 - Blue
13 - White
14 - Amber

I would like the ability to create a colour chase (using dimming), i.e R, G, B, W, A on a loop within the cue list,
But would look at possibly using this same chase later on in the cue list but with different speeds/timings.

I looked at using "Autoload" and pointing this to a playback fader & changing the speed on the original playback,
but then if this playback is used again and the speed changed, this changes across the whole cue list.

I also tried doing this as a shape too with Dimmer Curves, but found it a bit clunky.

I'm ideally looking for a way to have a quick playback/template I can fire, change the speed and save to a cue list to make programming as quick as possible.

Really appreciate any help available - Thank you in advance.
Let me know if you have any questions. :)
