Laying out a Show General

Ok You create all the Palletes Colours, Positions, Movements Gobos etc and they are all ready ( this is covered in all the Training courses etc ) BUT How do people layout the rest of a show on which to BUSK with the paletes etc. Question asked on the busking aspect, where you dont know what the band is going to do next never mind never heard the artists style etc what do you put on the faders etc or presets. Thoughts please
