Pixelmap effect in a Key Shape Frame, is this possible?

Postby daanvg98 » 12 Dec 2019, 11:50

Hi Guys,

I was playing around in Key Shape and I was wondering if you can put a pixelmap effect in a Key Shape Frame. I tried to do it but I couldn''t get it to work. I tried saving a pixelmap effect to shapes and effects pallete, I tried it in the Key Shape editor. Is it even possible, because it looks like avolites blocks you from choosing a pixelmap effect when you are trying to make a Key Shape. Working right now with the new V12 software.

I wouldn't expect pixel map effects within key frame shapes to work. What is it you are trying to achieve? You might be able to use a chase or cue list, with pixel map effects stored in the cues.

What i'm trying to make is a 4 step effect.

1. Beam group 1 on
2. Beam group 2 on and 1 off
3. Pixel effect on pars from center to outside (just a square on a zoom)
4. All off

And all that in a key shape for a timecode show, but right now ik just made 4 ques where the first on gets triggerd on code and the other 3 will follow with after previous and delays. Which also works great. But if i could make it once on a effect and set the bpm right is always gets triggerd on the right time.

Have you considered using a chase with the BPM set appropriately?
