Postby Nicke Löfgren » 13 Aug 2016, 09:41

Hello
How is it easiest to "factory reset" Tiger Touch

Thinking about selling, or shall I send it as it is?

Run a recovery and select 'Full Erase'.

Yes. There should be one inside the console that you can use although it might be an old version.

You can find the recovery creator downloads here. If it's an original non-pro Tiger Touch 1 that hasn't been upgraded then 9.0 is the highest you can go. If it's an original one that has been upgraded or is a pro/Tiger Touch II then you can use version 10. You will need a Usb stick minimum size 4GB (suggest max 16GB, larger can be problematic).

Once downloaded place Usb stick in a PC and launch the creator .exe to create the recovery installer stick. Personally I recommend formatting the Usb stick first with Rufus to ensure it is bootable.

With the console turned off place the recovery Usb in the console and then power up. All being well this should boot from the stick and you can follow the instructions on screen. When the choices come up select 'Full Erase' (note that for v10 you need to select 'Advanced' to see this option).

I think that might just be a display error. Try power cycling the console and see if it fixes.
