Midi Triggering Phoenix4 Live software

I'm new on the forum, so i don't know this is the right place, but this is the question:
Can i program triggers from the avolites console trough midi towards my laser software? (Phoenix 4 Live)
I try'ed a lot and can''t get it online or working. I've bought a Icon Midiport. Can someone help me out?!
