Hi All,
I have a machine running Win 2007 and i have been working with the Pearl 2004 sim for a while now. About a month ago it just stopped working. When you stare the software it gives me a screen likethe one in the attached file.
I have done the following;
1. Uninstalled the sim
2. re installed the sim
3. uninstalled the sim then went through the registry to make sure there was no traces left.
4. re installed it.
every time i have re installed it i have made sure I was in admin mode, made sure to select windows XP SP3 for compatibility, etc....
no dice, each time i get the strange screen you see. Got any ideas??

A few other pieces of info.
If you will notice thee are no LED indicator lights on the buttons. if you click on them it will appear, nothing else happens. the LED does not lighten up just stays dark (EI normal state)
Faders do move
Roller does move
nothing gets put out on the "CRT"
Key switch moves
wheels move

My only thoughts are could it be related to a display setting? Maybe unusual custom DPI text size or the overall size? Something along those lines. I'm only guessing but I know these things have been relevant in the past and an innocent change like this could explain why and when it started going wrong. I'm running some custom themes here with cleartype on and it works fine but I do have default size (100%).

I will keep working on this.
It would be really nice to be able to have this sim working. If you have any other ideas please post them here i will be looking in on it.

A quick question regarding this issue,
Does the Pear Sim use the SQL Data base??

No, Pearl Simulator does not use an SQL database.

Cool, Just a thought, Was trying to track down the things that have changed on my computer that may have caused the sim issues.
