Can you otherwise control the fixture by DMX, e.g. does it turn when you change pan/tilt? Is it only the lamp on/off macros which don't work?

Please know that you can enable/disable lamp control by DMX in the fixture settings of the XR1200.

Lamp on/off functions and macro timings are correct according to the fixture manual. To elaborate on Sebastian's comment the fixture has settings for lamp always on, always off and by dmx. Check these and also ensure the fixture mode is correct (14 or 16 channel).

Regarding the Control values, the XR1200 is similar to the XR8. You might try to patch the XR1200 as XR8 and try again. Also, you might patch it as just dimmers. Control is on channel 16, Lamp On is DMX 130~179, which is 52~70%. Thus, if you set this channel to e.g. 60%, this is similar to the 'Lamp On' macro. Do this just as a test if the fixture behaves correctly.

However, I believe the settings on the fixture itself are not correct. In the Fixture's menu, you can set the lamp to 'Always On', to 'Always Off', and to 'DMX'. Of course, this needs to be set to 'DMX'. http://www.dts-lighting.com/media/files ... df#page=14.
