Art2000 Wiring

Postby Tumbleweed » 15 Aug 2011, 09:06

How are the legs distributed on the Art2000 dimmers?

Like, is dimmer 1 on the black leg, dimmer 2 on the red leg, and dimmer 3 on the blue leg? Or, is it wired in some weird British fashion that would make Mr Lucas proud (heh heh)

I'm popping breakers on my Art2000 rack, so I have to repatch the whole shebang (I swapped modules around, this didn't fix the problem, I redid the hard patch, the same breakers blew), and when it gets repatched, i still need to balance the load on the mains....

The manual states (and I guess the front is labeled ackordingly):

L1 (red): 1, 4, 7, 10
L2 (yellow): 2, 5, 8, 11
L3 (blue): 3, 6, 9, 12

found out that L2 is split on two breakers, 2 and 5 are on one, 8 and 11 are on the other.

all my pars are now spread out as evenly as possible across all three legs

Hm, to me this indicates some strange faulty wiring inside the dimmer module. I strongly suggest contacting Avo service
