Hi everyone!
I'm writing to you today with a small/big problem. So far, I haven't really used a shape generator to create effects, but at one of the concerts the organizer requested a symmetric circle effect on 18 Pointe lights hanging in a single line.
I watched a few tutorials – of course, I set a 180-degree offset and reversed the direction for half of the devices, but as far as Spread is concerned, the effect works well only for 1 and 2. Spread 3 is just a slight shift of one side relative to the other, and higher values are a disaster.
I tried different fixture orders, layout arrangements - and it doesn't help ... on YouTube everything works perfectly for everyone right away!!! For me, there may be some problem due to lack of knowledge.
The second issue concerns the same effect but for Acme Tornado type devices - I have 10 of them in a line (which makes 50 devices) - I'm trying to make a symmetrical circle - the problem is the same as above + each individual head does not change offset or direction - I select Run on subfixtures (linear). In this version, it just doesn't want to work properly at all.
And version 3 of the same thing - with the Tornado I choose only the beam type instance (GROUP .1.3.5.7.9). In group view, I arrange individual "dots" as they are placed on the stage and again try to make a symmetrical circle. In this case, Spread 1, 5, 11 works well, and if I remember correctly, 55 - I don’t know why there are such discrepancies.
Help!!!
Best regards,
Daniel
