How do you recall the group? Fixture groups can be recalled via numpad entry and softkey A (Recall group). After that press 10 and the pallet you want to recall, that should work fine. I tried this and it works fine, though a colour wheel seems to always snap to it's new value, as opposed to for ins...

http://www.lichtbron-oo.nl/SG.DAT That's my own shape file, try that. You get the rain shape for free ;-) See this thread: http://www.avolitesshop.co.uk/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=494 for operating info or just delete the shapes if you don't need it. By the way; my file contains more differences to the ...

Get an SG.dat file, they're included on every fixture disk. Edit the file with wordpad or something like that, and paste the pattern into the first part and the shape into the second. Copy onto a floppy, insert the floppy into your console and load the shape file via system mode -> utilities. Reboot...

I think I know what problem you're having. A colour wave with size 10 is processed as -5 <=> +5. So when you set your DMX channel value to 50 and run the effect, it will output 45 <=>55, that's probably not what you want. Though you'll program the 50 value onto a pallet because that's red on your sp...

Has anyone else noticed (unless I've missed it) that the key switch is missing in the pictures. Wonder how you switch between modes now? Take a closer look at the pictures above  I'm guessing top left? The 2008 isn't going to have a USB host port, right? So you could only connect it to a PC f...

I have one too. At the moment it's possible to limit the output of a handle by using the level=xxx% when patching. If you patch a dimmer @ 100% to a handle, and then patch a dimmer with a different level to the same handle, the previous patched dimmer is also bound to the new limit. Why do I want th...

Actually the MA is older (or just as old) as the Pearl, the GrandMA was devised in 1999. Maybe, but the Pearl design is way older than that. There are some differences between rolacue/2000/2004 and what other versions there might be, but the basic design hasn't changed. That's what I meant. Actuall...

Not much difference I think, if you know the consoles well you can acheive your show on both. Just a way of thinking and preparing. For larger shows the Pearl might become a bit slow, the MA has lots of overhead so it won't. The MA is a brand new console, the Pearl is based on a solid design. Both w...

Rumor about beta version?
Hi, I'm hearing rumors about a beta version of the Pearl software. Is there a way to subscribe to the beta test users, or does one have to be selected? The console is sitting on my desk most of the time, so I don't mind sticking in a floppy and try to find some bugs. The features mentioned were exci...

That's not too difficult. Create a step 1.5 (you allready managed to do that) and fade into 1.5 so the scroller goes dark. Now you need to set it up for the next scene so you need to adjust timings on scene 2. Give it a waittime of 1 sec, and set LTP fade to 0. That way, the LTP will snap to it's ne...

It could notice the timecode is being skipped and only process LTP changes internally. Dimmers off and on again when the right cue is being processed again... That it behaves like this is quite normal I guess, in the programming they didn't account for skipping cues as you wouldn't expect that norma...
