No matter what anyone else might have told you, only one press of [clear] is ever necessary. More have no effect! Your description does sound like they were LTP and not HTP, but I had a look at personality and looks ok (if a bit nasty!) I am struggling to find a reason for this - maybe would occur i...

I guess just the 10 most popular are chosen. Like I say, you can define the palettes yourself either manually or by editing the personality file should you want a custom repeatable patch.

The auto-palettes are defined in each personality file under PFTable. To be sure you can check each one by looking in the online library and comparing to fixture data. The idea is 1-10 will always be colours, 11-20 gobos etc, but I advise checking if you are going to use. Personally I always create ...

Hmmm. I have to say that you have effectively told me it is not very easy to do, at least in comparison. The way to avoid generics dropping after page change is to not press [clear], which is the real reason, rather than changing page. Previous software would load in fader values to anything patched...

I was talking more of generics rather than movers, so groups not an issue. With the Pearl the preset faders and generics are sitting there and easy for me to pick out and set levels in the traditional fashion while I try to keep some sort of attention on the show in progress! How does this work on t...

the beauty about the MA is that you end up getting a guy next to it that has to program for you and dont know the desk.... you dont have a show or hardly get near that what you asked for. you end up switching between pages.. playback pages - execution buttons.. the colorbook screens That is the ove...

I agree most things like fixture editing should be possible in the future. I also assume by 'change fade curve' you also meant editor. Size, familiarity, faders and buskability have always been the most important aspects for me. With the Expert solving the speed hurdle I think things look peachy for...

Thanks for the confirmation. The main issue with swapping pages is the dangerous effect of [clear] over raised preset faders. This was made worse after an alteration in the 2004 builds. I think this is the main reason people try to avoid. I have discussed this much with Olie. Hopefully it is somethi...

Just quick comments: Regarding hardware I would assume all this is already defined and in manufacture ready for Plasa. All the other software related things are obviously possible in the future since there are potentially very few restrictions here. I would imagine there has to be a limit of some so...

Glad to hear it. For a moment I thought you'd uncovered a nasty garing bug that somehow noone had bothered to report before (not unusual!) It is very important to be accurate with edits and is 99% of the time the reason for people thinking the desk is at fault. Two things I did consider were: 1) If ...

I agree swapping pages/holding shift etc. is not good and accept that is a reason to not use over 30. I thought you were suggesting it just couldn't do it. Is also true about palettes though I hope with the Expert there will be 60 direct accessible + softbuttons without changing page. It's not that ...

I won? Woohoo! So, for the select few who are crazy enough to mess with this, here is complete list of attribute assignment numbers above 8 which are not listed in shapefile syntax comments (probably!): 9 - Gobo1 10 - Gobo2 11 - Gobo1 rotate 12 - Focus 13 - Gobo2 rotate 14 - Colour 2 15 - Shutter 16...
