I did have a quick play with 'rec by fixture', but I could not replicate.
If you can always repeat I would definitely email your showfile to Olie with instructions, since it may be traceable to a potential bug that I would rather not encounter!

Hmmm. My advice on swapping the chip resulted in it blowing up in that particular case, but I hope that was due to operator error! At least noone said I was wrong to advise this... I don't know whether doing something like this should be able to affect the software, but 'tis an old desk. Maybe the a...

I would guess this is to do with the way you have programmed and LTP. Presumably the fixtures you have been programming are RGB (or CMY) and therefore require three channels of information to get a required colour. I am not wholely familiar with the D4's workings, but I will assume things are fairly...

Odd. I've never seen that. Silly question, but I assume you have made certain that the information is not in the programmer for some reason? Does this happen even after a reset? AFAIK the only way you should be able to store/record information without it being in the programmer is via 'Record Stage'.

Bugger. I'm unsure of the problem. It is unlikely to be software because of the diagnositics. Since it is all 30 buttons I think it must be related to the analogue board or it's ribbon connects to the mainboard. But this is out of my depth. I suggest calling 24hr support if you can. As a workaround ...

Can you explain what happens? Is there an error message? What operating system is your computer - example: Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP? It will help learn the console along with reading the manual. But it is much more difficult to use simply because it is on a computer. Using the real thing with some...

Oh dear. Call Avo and get them to send you a new one. There are a few spares provided with the desk. Might be worth checking to see if it is one of these. Can you explain what the problem was and how you found out? Also, which chip blew and how? I hope not after following my suggestion above. Sincer...

Well, thankyou Sir! http://www.smileys.ws/smls/grinning/00000043.gif I ask myself the same questions. Not least because I provide a great deal more support on another forum too. This one is easy! Currently I am doing shows 7 days a week - busiest ever. I'm not going mad at all. Not even slightly. ht...
