It's a well known fact that the desk slows quite dramatically when outputting to Vis, down to the amount of info it outputs and the Pearl can't keep up. But I've never heard of it taking that long to change options! It is probably related to the Boris 1 board, but I wouldn't like to say for sure...i...

Hi - did you follow the Avo instructions for making up the RS232 cable? Look again here... http://www.avolitesdownload.com/Downloads/Visualiser.stm There is a .doc file "How to check the RS232 lead" that gives you full instructions on how to test comms between the desk and PC. HTH Andy

I don't know the S4, but is there a diagnostics screen (like on a Pearl) you can use to test the buttons ?

I'm soon to be using a house Azure, as I'm adding a quantity of other fixtures to their rig along with my Pearl, I want to know if any part of the Azure show file can be loaded into the Pearl, so save having to re-program from scratch.

As in Roller Pages 1,2 and 3 Changing Pages has the same effect on PB's as changing facets (Roller Segments A-J) - you have control over the PB but as soon as the fader reaches 0 it changes control to the new PB facet or page.
