Yes you're right, if you use a quick palette it doesn't release to locate values so does do exactly what I need and you're right it's quicker too. I'm trying to record a cue that flashes a colour then fades back to previous colour. I've recorded a cue with just colour info in, set key profile to Nightclub and set release mask to colour. It releases back to locate value not the previous colour. What am I missing? Thanks

I totally understand how tricky it must be trying to simulate all the different kinds of fixtures. Thanks for your help. If anyones having the same problems just try knocking the haze level down to 1 or 2% it's working much better for me now. Thanks again

OK I've got something that works for me now, I've adjusted the smoke to 1% in capture settings, it now resembles a real life look. It was set at 30%, I've never changed it so guess that's default. If you get the same issue try reducing smoke...... not something I do in the real world!
