You will need to write your own macro for this (<Macro>, [Record], ...) as described in the manual, and can invoke this macro in the last step of your cuelist. Please be aware macros are handle-based, hence the macro will function something like 'release playback xy', rather than 'release calling cu...

Have you updated your fixture library? What you're asking for is oing along with a feature called 'subfixtures' - if you patch such bars/battens, console should automatically know its cells. Try <Unfold> and the patched fixture; a new window should appear with all the individual cells - which will b...

Hi Brian, well, what I can confirm is that I got it running, reliably. But since outputting MTC is certainly only one aspect when choosing a software, I am sure you will agree that there is no point in recommending it without knowing all your other needs. If you want someone to recommend a software,...

It pretty much depends from what you have available. I recently set it up (for testing only) with an 'external' Soundcard (Edirol UA25) and a notebook running Reaper, see http://www.avolitesshop.co.uk/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=1836 Generally, you'd need either a MIDI-Timecode (MTC) capable software, an...

yeah, 90° offset would give a circle. 270° offset would reverse the circle (or 0°, and 90° offset for the other shape). That's how the circle shape is created. You may have a look at the shape.xml in the PersonalityLibrary; it will give you a quite good start. Each pattern consists of 64 steps, ...

Hi, a screen-photo is here: http://www.avolites.de/test/icke_siegen/midi.jpg Forget about the activated FX - this was from randomly testing other settings. Did a new project today, without touching FX. Same settings, same result - runs straight away. Only thing which puzzles me in your reaper2.jpg: ...

I actually downloaded and installed reaper only for testing this myself, so please dont't ask for any other details. After fiddling with the settings for hours, I simply did like in the formerly quoted description, and it works straight away, the crucial thing were two options: - Go to the source pr...

Ah. Looks like the desk receives something - but not timecode. Which means Reaper is sending something, but it's not timecode. If it were timecode, then you could see different values, and not always 08 00 or something alike. I am deeply sorry, but you'd need to look at Reaper a little more. Some hi...

Cool, so the first hurdle is taken - the console reads your Reaper's timecode. Now, follow section 8.6.5 - Running a cuelist to timecode - of the manual. Essentially it's not that you synchronize the desk's timer to Reaper. It's more like: the desk reads Reaper's timecode, and reacts on it. When e.g...

As Nic has already stated, usually all you have to do is (1) hook up soundcard and console with a MIDI cable (soundcard MIDI out linked to console MIDI in), (2) set console's timecode source to 'MIDI', and (3) start the MTC source (in that case, Reaper). Since for whatever reason this seems not to w...

Hm. As far as I can see it, the Go button has no MIDI code assigned on the pearl. I don't know if MIDI works when the desk is set to theater stack mode (you'd have to send the go via swop 12~15). But you might go the way I described previously: fire the programmed memories (cues/chaser) via MIDI. On...

MIDI is covered in section 13.2 of the Pearl manual. I used it a few times a time ago. Essentially, what you can to is fire presets - that time we prgrammed the cues on the desk, and programmed the stack (of the cues) on another MIDI control system. The very MIDI commands are described in a.m. secti...
