First you pacth the scroller fixture over any swop button.

After this you patch a dimmer channel over the same swop button. The personality itself allows you to do this operation.

I'm afraid that actually ACDI is only supporting Martin Show Designer, LewLight's Capture, and Avolites Visualiser itself.

Most probably you're using the last fixture in the list. The Simulator crashes if you attempt to patch the last fixture in the list, no matter what the name of the fixture is it (this is a bug). You can find a post talking about this in the old forum: http://www.avolites.co.uk/_pearl1/000005c2.htm

Did you try by checking that the video card was completely and correctly plugged? In some versions of the old Pearls it was usual to find that the card was unpluggeg or displaced because of the strikes or movements during the travels. That was a cause of misfunctions and error meesages appearances.

I think that Juno was talking about an USB-Serial port converter, in order to connect the desk to the computer. This is the system that I'm using, and is working ok for me.

So, Mickey, if you "only" have USB ports, you've got a lot to convert:

If you have correctly installed both programs, and you have your dongle, it is, indeed, very easy to connect them.
