any issues with shows from V4 to V5?

Has anyone noticed any differences by running shows in V5 that were programmed in V4?

Only differences I have so far are some of my executors that were set to flash now latch (so the key profile just changed and I must change it back). And that gobo scroll cues are acting differently.

I had issues when I first got my Titan Mobile with Windows Vista. Nothing resolved them except a windows 7 install... I also know of 2 or 3 other PCs that could not read the panel but could read the dongle in other windows... I know this is not your issue, but I would definitely say win7 has helped ...

I find tap tempo to be fairly in consistent, although I use it a lot. If I continuously tap a tempo at the same time, the bpm reading the desk puts on the chase jumps around within about 20 BPM. Even although I am consistently tapping the same tempo, it seems to read it differently. But I usually kn...

I never kew that about the dimmer shapes... I usually have used them at 100%. I used to be able to put a pan swing/saw on one mode 2 fader, and a tilt swing/saw on another mode 2 fader. Then combining them would give a circle. But lately all I get is a V shape. Should I have an off set in one of the...

At the moment I'm using TM on a 2 year old HP laptop, no external screen, no touch screen, but an external mouse. Initially I wanted to buy an external touch screen, but I am actually much happier with one hand on a mouse and the other hand on the wheels of the TM panel. I really like how all the at...

fixture Groups and exchanging

Do groups function like palltes? In the sense that, if you change the group, then the programming will be updated? Say you have 6 fixtures on the back truss for one show, say mac 250s. You do all your show programming by going “Group ALL BACK SPOTS, apply position pallet, apply colour, etc. – sa...

Is there a document describing all the shapes?

Hi, Is there some documentation describing how each shape works? for instance, what is the difference between Pan swing and Pan saw? Also would be handy to have notes on which shapes need the attribute to be at a specific value to get the full effect of the shape out (e.g. having CMY attributes at 5...

cuelists autoloading their own cuelist

Why is is possible for a cue to autoload its own cuelist? Is this a bug or are there advantages to this (like autoloading into an earlier cue, but then how would the cue list get out of the loop?)

Best way to transition between cue lists on different pages

Hi, I know the topic of having cuelists on the same fader but on multiple faders is being covered in another thread, and is not yet possible, but I want to ask for specific advice: I am about to go onto a tour with a band where we have 18 songs per show. I have programmed each song on a different pa...

I had a slow down problem myself 2 days ago... I was programming for about 12 hours, and then everything slowed down slightly... When typing in legends there would be a delay in when the letters would appear. Only slight however, maybe just under a second. But it would also affect clicking pallets. ...

Can I just edit the vis file and then reopen the theatre and it will be updated? Or will I have to recreate the theatre?

Thanks for the via file edit. I'll give it a try in the week. On the locate thing, unless my memory fails me, martin fixtures home to the front when rigged with the screen to the front/back. I don't get to work with VLs much, so I'm not sure about them. Previously I also programmed for an act at a f...

Vis Pan values reversed to reality?

Hi, I programmed a festival stage last night. Today I decided to setup the rig in the VIS so I can do some editing during the day... But all the pan values seem to be reversed? When I apply my position pallets my fan in look (that works in reality) is a fan out look on the VIS, and the fan out is a ...

So its like scenes in Hog? But for this to be really usefull then, you would need seperate pallets for all your major groups? like colours for all spots, different colours for all washes, maybe also for LED fixtures, etc.? Otherwise ones whole rig will change colour/position etc.? (I actually though...

Just a quick reminder then - what is the difference between a "quick pallet" and a "non-quick pallet"?
