It is so, in the form of tables. This information must be defined in the personality file under PFTABLE. This is the same information used to 'automatically create preset focuses (palettes) ...' when patching. If it has not already been defined you can edit this yourself. It is not as complicated as...

Is it possible to explain your problem with an example? Only information in the programmer is stored. This is correct as it allows building/layering of palettes. I have not experienced any issues with this. /Edit: I forgot to mention that regardless of whether the information is in the programmer or...

Possibly a faulty disk &/or desk.

However, the old (2000) based software has some significant bugs.

2004 v1.1 fixes all of these and contains many new features. I can confirm it is very reliable and stable.

AFAIK the extended memory is the crucial requirement. Since you have this there should be no problems. I am not sure why you would have to do a hard wipeall, though don't be too worried about this - it only wipes the show, just like the software wipeall. Nothing bad can happen. Key to System, [Servi...

Currently the switch has a 5v and 12v line for dim/bright respectively. I am not looking in the back of the desk right now, or fully awake, but I would presume you could make it use the 12v line on both positions with some simple mods. This assumes the littlite uses two separate 12v circuits. If nec...

Do you mean you cannot control the Pan/Tilt on some units or it is a palette problem or...?

It may be easier to edit the registry directly. This is quite easy, but you must be VERY careful! In XP: Start/Run.... Regedit <return> In the editor, navigate to the pearl sim entries, just like you would with directories: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Avolites\Pearl\PearlSimulator Double-click on the...

No worries! ..except for lack of sleep.... Bad news and maybe good news: Serial connector is input only (ie for graphics tablet & stage remote) In fact the only output available from the desk is the DMX output. Assuming the system you describe is not using 10v analogue (large multipin connectors...

I'm not sure about 1 & 2 - not something I have played with.

For fader control over shape size:
Shape Gen/Playback Params/Set Size to timed
Set fader to mode 2 (either from Playback params or Edit Times menu)

There is no way to control chase speed by fader.

It is worth noting that the 2004 consoles may not be pre-loaded with 2004 soft. Check in Service menu.

I reported it as a bug quite some time ago, but thankfully it was not worth the trouble (or possibly extra code) to remove it. This will not be changed in the new build AFAIK - there's no way you could do this accidentally. (unless you are a monkey  ) However, I did try it today and it appear...

Unfortunately I don't think this will work. Programmer information will be removed when switching modes. However, there is a trick.... I'm not sure whether this is specific to 2004 software or not. When in Run Mode Normal, you can access Groups and Palettes from the 'Input' Screen (numeric key). If ...

Absolutely. Using Quick Palette removes the need to select fixtures and consequently attribute control by wheel.
Anyone still using 2000 builds are missing out! (Note that although 2000 Build 8 does have some of the new features, it also has some very significant bugs.)

Well known 'feature' (and the most problematic IMO!) I have been pushing for a change to this for some time. AFAIK in 2000 soft pressing [clear] would swap the fader values to the relevant fixtures on the new page, though it is hard to imagine why you would want that. In 2004 this has been changed t...
