it's back!

Only this time it crashed with bus errors.....something about video then a hex numbers. So i removed the video card and all seems fine. I never use the video card so can i presume this was an ok course of action?

I think I've had that problem before, and it turned out the disks I were using just weren't being read properly. Make sure they have been formatted on the desk and try a few disks. Floppys are notoriously rubbish.

This week has not been a good week to say the least! So the chip wasn't the problem. I know this now, however I also have destroyed a chip. swapped board and the problem moved.....im a little unsure about pulling out chips and swapping them.

On the boards themselves there is only one chip near where one of the ribbon connectors are. Is this the chip you're refering to and do i simply give it a tug?
