Hi, One thing that may not be totally obvious is that you can use the entire playback area to drag the fader level, you don't need to click the fader itself. Hi,

Sorry it has been a while. I have tried to repeat this a couple of times ago on different days and unfortunately I am failing to see what you are reporting. It seems to be pretty reliable at setting the control to legal values, and I haven't seen it grey out the control.
