I the past i used the console (Pearl 2010) and the sunstrips as seperate dimmers and it worked. But..
I do not seem to find the way to dim the dimmer shape i generated. isnt this possible? just to change the overall dimmer intensity of the shap i am playing back.

I connected without the ACDI! so with an RS232 cable from a com (com 1)port on my latop to the visualizer connection on my pearl 2010. i don't think it crashes after an action, because i tried to startup the vis, put it on RS232 en then left it untouched en it crashed to. it probaly is a random prob...

i have the 2 connected now.
altouhg the visualizer crashes quiet a lot, it works.

a litle overview I have my laptop connected to the desk using a RS232 (console cable) COM port to visualiser port on the desk the desk is set to midi: visualiser the ACDI turns green says ("reading") i got en single generic patched on the vis and on the desk on handle 1 dmx 001 in the visu...

i did what you sugested but the vis does not react.

i also did the RS232 lead check.

here i can see that the desk is continously recieving codes.

i tried an other laptop and that was the same.

on the botom in the vis screen it says "serial comm bad handle error"
