does the visualiser port on the Azure work or do I need to make up a MIDI to serial cable in order to get the Avolites visualiser to work?

Hi, I've got my Azure connected up to a PC with a serial port, fire up the visualiser software turn on the Azure and can "see" what I'm doing for a few seconds and then the Azure locks up and won't resond until after a reboot and in the visualiser log file it talks about a serial connectio...

can someone provide me with a table that contains DMX values as percentage as implemented by avo as I've read somewhere that some desks round up and some round down and seeing as I cannot see the actual DMX values on an Azure I need the percent equivalent.
