The SG.dat file was missing.
The shape generator is working fine now.

Sounds logical, but I have no menu option in this screen which allows me to choose a shape. The items I can choose from are: 1. Playback a shape 2. Edit a shape 3. Set wheels to spread..... 4. Remove shape from selected fixtures 5. Change direction 6. Playback Parameters I know I must be overlooking...

Have you tried to see what settings your LPT port are; under the bios settings? It should be set to [EPP] mode. see if that may be the problem.
